27 May Anti-static technology for artificial grass
One phenomenon that may occur with artificial turf is the build-up of static charge. When two surfaces are in contact and at least one of them has a high resistance to electric current, static electricity can be created. This can increase in extremely cold or hot weather or when humidity is very low. Touching a charged object can cause a static discharge, like an electric shock.
There has been much research into eliminating this static charge. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to completely eliminate it, but we can limit it the intensity so you’ll hardly experience the physical sensation of shocks
Signature Turf has embedded antistatic technology in the actual blades of our artificial grass. With this technology, the build-up of static charge is minimised and you can safely enjoy your artificial turf.
